This is what I’d like to call “Web 2.0 meets Angelfire circa ‘98″. The main colors are Web 2.0 (Flickr pink, Mozilla blue, Minutesinaminute dark teal, Lastfm crimson, Shadows gray, Qoop mint, Youtube tomato etc etc), while everything else is reminiscent of everything that sucks about the innurnets.
It’s definitely too colorful and there’s something about it that I don’t like that I can’t quite put my finger on. Like, the green links in the sidebar’s too blah and dead. Suggestions? Comments?
I liked the last one better (something about the dark brown and green that was…uh, soothing) but I missed having a sidebar.
Now that this is out of the way, I no longer have an excuse to keep putting off working on my final project for web animation class (which is a 30-second Flash web intro. I mean, COME ON!!! Splash pages and intros are so 2001). Will start working on that tomorrow, even though that means I’ll be lugging Veronica Mars around the metro again.
Anyhoots, this was the first header I made for this layout:
It kinda hurt not using the coffee vector that I spent close to an hour making, but ducks > coffee.
That’s all.
And I refuse to test this on IE.
PS: Does anyone know how I can go about moving my Wordpress to my main domain? It’s currently on a ‘blog’ subdomain, but I want to change the URL (pronounced as ‘earl’, thanks to lover) to ditz-revolution.net. If that makes sense.

Haha, the panty’s the only thing that I didn’t draw from scratch. It’s from a Photoshop pattern I downloaded off of deviantart. Oh, and the dingbats/heads in the Twitter div haha. Chickabiddies font.

I love this layout, I think it’s funny and cute.
Right now, you have your wordpress installed in a separate folder. To have it pointing at your domain name, you need to have all the contents in the blog folder in the main directory of your c-panel. That way the index.php will be in the main directory and your blog will show up ditz-revolution.net. I hope this all made sense.

Loves the new layout! The colors are really nice imo.. not too bright! I tend to like white backgrounds because it looks cleaner.
As for moving your blog to your main domain, under Options > General in your Wordpress, you can try changing the URLS (”WordPress address” = your subdomain and “Blog address” = your domain). It usually does the trick.
BE CAREFUL THOUGH! Last time I really screwed up my databases because I was messing around too much when I switched the names around and had to manually change my URL back with PHmyAdmin because I couldn’t login!

Green is definitely in. I love the new design!
As to how you can move your blog from a subdomain to the root, off the top of my head, I believe you have to change the Wordpress address (URI) and Blog address (URI) under OPTIONS in your admin panel and move all your files to the main domain folder. You also need to update your blog’s permalink structure.
Ah sorry, that wasn’t so clear. Lol.

Another new layout eh.
Looks pretty good in general, but there is something about the sidebar that just doesn’t feel quite right to me. Can’t quite put my finger on it though.
Also, instead of making a stupid 30 second Flash intro, why not write an essay on why you should never use one in the first place (ok, maybe there are excpetions, but they are few and far between). Don’t know if your lecturer would be too impressed though.
I’m still working on the sidebar. The green doesn’t quite hit me right, too. Gah.
