LAZY SUNDAYS AND LAZY BLOGGING.

-->

First things first: my bandwidth has reached 80% of its limit and there’s a good chance my site will be experiencing some downtime, seeing that I’m as broke as a jobless single mother of two with a crack addiction and won’t be able to upgrade my hosting package any time soon. I was reading up on bandwidth optimization last night but I can’t, for the life of and geek in me, understand how to enable HTTP compression. I fail. And OMG, I keep getting email reminders and the usage keeps going up every time! I’m panicking!!!

I already emailed Dragweb to inquire about upgrading my package (a backgrounder: I’m currently on a free hosting package because when I renewed my site last May 2007, my host was supposed to move my site to his new hosting company, but that didn’t happen. So though I’m supposed to be with Technoville, I’m not. But my domain name registration is. Anyway, DW downgraded my package). I even thought about just completely switching hosts, but when I think about it, I like Dragweb. Never had any downtime, they get back to me pretty quickly, and I like their packages. Plus, the fact that my site isn’t even supposed to be up (technically) but IS up shows that they somewhat care about their clients. Aww.

I hate being broke and jobless, being the kind of person who never had any sort of financial difficulties in the past. I can’t ask my mom for money to pay for hosting because that would set off the parental Spanish Inquisition (What’s a blog? Why do you have one? What do you put there? Can we see?). I already asked my mom for money to buy 2 gigs of RAM for 1k and she said yes; too bad I was a day late and the dude found a buyer. Meh.

Plus, my mom had a garage sale the other day and sold about half of my wardrobe (obviously, stuff I no longer wear). None of the earnings went to me, of course, and I’m not complaining. I just wish I had the means to replace the stuff that went out because my cabinet is looking very very very dismal.

That said, here’s a bunch of stuff I bought at the mall yesterday. “Essentials”, is what I call them: V05 Curvaceous Curls mousse for my, uh, curls. Revlon Colorsilk in Light Plum Brown because my roots are showing and I have this knack for never using the same brand and color when re-touching my hair. The Face Shop’s Baked Shimmer All-Over Illuminator in Pink Nuance which better be worth the price tag (it’s cheek blush and eyeshadow in one).

Check out this funny (picture sucks because I have a piece of shit point-and-shoot camera):

I was surprised to see that the pretty mug I picked out for my afternoon coffee had an Oscar de la Renta marking on it. Yeah, what’s next, Valentino teaspoons?

(I am well aware that Oscar de la Renta has a tableware collection, but this mug is definitely not part of it)

Thankfully my parents don’t know that I blog. I don’t want them to find out that I actually rant about them from time to time. Haha.

I hope you find a solution to your bandwidth problem soon!

My parents don’t know that I blog either. If they did, they’d probably disconnect my ‘net and burn my computer. Sorry to hear about your bandwidth =( That must be a pain to have to constantly worry when and if your site’s gonna go down at any second.

Don’t feel bad about a half empty wardrobe.. I’ve still got clothes from when I was 12. *Shudder* … Garage Sale is a good idea!

I can see your camera reflection in the blush compact’s mirror lol! Lol@ The OdlR mug. Designer coffee and tea.. who’dathunkit?

LMAO if you hadn’t noticed I just write about online casisos & other bullshit, just whatever they assign me. If you want money, I just made $50 so far this month with PayU2Blog.com. Once you get approved they assign you posts and you have to do them, you can’t pick and choose, but I just add one or two lines at the bottom of my regular posts and stick the entry in “Uncategorized” and I think my readers get it. Anyways, I post a lot and they pay like $5 a post, so if you blogged a lot it would pay off. I don’t know how long ’til my offers will run out if I do this, but my plan is to write 2 paid posts a day. That would average to $300 a month, which is almost my entire half of rent.

That made me laugh how you said you’re afraid of the little yellow triangle icon. I am scared of your site going down! Oh no.

My daddy pays for my blog lol. So he knows the address and stuff but I’m 21 now so I think he has better things to do than lurk my site. He always jokes he reads my 17-year-old sister’s MySpace, but I’m pretty sure she has her profile on private.

I want to see what the stores look like in the Third World…

The U.S. is pretty rad because I live in Oregon. We are liberal and have clean air, mountains and gorgeous (albeit cold) beaches. But our politics are (say it with me) fucked. But when I see footage of other countries it’s always like, awww shit, we have no culture where I live.

The free sample I wanted this week was for Roxy but I couldn’t do it ’cause I’m not in Canada, so don’t feel bad.

I think your point and shoot cam is about like mine. Don’t make fun of me - I just haven’t mastered the self-timer yet!

I wouldn’t be surprised if Valentino made teaspoons, really. Ralph Lauren now makes paint. Why not teaspoons too :)

If you needed, I could host your domain on my account for free. It’s technically not a reseller, so you wouldn’t get your own cpanel. It’s with mediaTemple. I got tons of bandwidth. It’s kinda confusing, but if you’re pressed for time, I’d be happy to help you out :)

LOL, your paid posts never seem like paid posts. Good luck on the domain. I want my own too!

Well that’s good you got things situated with your host. That would blow if your site went down.

I know how you feel about being short on cash flow, I get sick a lot and miss work so there has been times when I have no moola.

That shimmer looks mighty perdy, I’ve never heard of The Face Shop. Shopping is fun, I went yesterday.

Hmm, I’d love to give you some of my bandwidth. I have 60GB and use 1GB!! I’ll even upgrade sometime soon, then I’ll have like 500GB (gosh - I don’t need that), but I need addon domains.
