I’ve been in a bit of a funky mood lately and as much as I’d like to blame it on the dreary weather, I’d rather say it’s the lack of nicotine and human contact that’s got me feeling all Lindsay Lohan-ish after Wilmer dumped her. It doesn’t help that not smoking has got me orally-fixating; coupled with PMS cravings, it would be apt to say that my body is in biiiiiig twouble! I mean, look at my latest picture, taken two minutes ago:

So I’ve decided it’s about time I do something and de-jelly my very rotund belly. The old me would’ve ran to the nearest drugstore or supermarket to stock up on laxatives, slimming tea, diet pills, and green tea (or if I was feeling lazy, run to my dealer for a few grams of somethin’-somethin’ in exchange of a blowjob), as the old me is all about quick fixes (and cheap thrills, like, smacking kids hard in the head). But no, the new me is past all that. The new me will strive hard to drop the pounds the healthy and legal way.
Or maybe I could just starve myself and hope to drop 5-10 pounds in water weight in two days. It’s tempting, really.
Today is Day 1 of my diet. I am happy to report that my dad has eaten all of my chocolate cupcakes, so that’s one less temptation. My plan is to eat healthy and perhaps, some exercise. I could take walks around our village but I get self-conscious when I’m on my own and my dad’s epic jogs are a bit too much for me to handle. So this has to make do:

Okay, here’s the deal. I started “living a healthier life” last week (because, I eat sooooo much, I loooove eating… yummy yummy).
I try to eat 4 times a day (so that I’m not hungry). I eat a healthy breakfast at 8am.
I go to the gym (yes, I joined the gym and have a gym-plan) 2 or 3 times a week and I try to go walking (fast) one or two times a week.
Monday through Friday I try to eat healthy, on the weekends (starting friday afternoon) I have off :)
I also weigh my breakfast and write most of what I eat down (how much fat…)
I’d love a partner - wanna be my partner? *sigh* *hump*

I can personally vouch for the “twisting your upper body” routine to make your waist smaller. also, belly dancing is a great help! (makes you sweat a lot). I just do it in front of the mirror watching youtube videos and swaying to any music
I will show you a picture of my waist afer doing that for maybe 1 or 2 months.
I did not show the front of my stomach because it did not flatten my abs (i think for that you need sit ups and other exercises)
I did not really have a straight body but my waist has always been WIDE because of water retention and too much fat. that always depressed me. after eating lost of pasta and bread for the weekend, my waist becomes bloated and fat during the week.
as you can see from my picture, my belly dancing and twisting the upper body exercise did not result in a slimmer firmer more toned more muscled back or arms or thighs or butt or anything. but it did make my waist look slimmer- which surprised and amazed me.
I have never had a slim body, it’s simply not in my genes I think, I take after my mom who’s rounded and rotund. being a bit fleshy I make efforts to at least have a smaller waist.

please update us about your diet and exercise developments. I have always admired your well-toned, lean and trim frame (at least from the pictures), Helga!
oh and let me add, that picture was taken last sem, but right now I do believe my waist is even smaller!
In fact my classmates sometimes ask me, “fredda, do you go to the gym?” even though my arms and legs are still so round and plump.
Helga, I also use 5 lb dumbells while twisting my body to the right and left, as shown in the picture in that magazine page you posted.
these days I am researching on how to have a firmer butt, though the internet tips are sooo difficult and tiring. I’ve been working on having firmer arms for a year now but nothing worked. =(

I need to lose weight though, this guy I am with now is so healthy and fit and soooooooooo damn sexah. I don’t want to ride him weighing over 50kg … *sigh* Yup, yup, yup. what worked for me @ 140lbs:
no red meat (except maybe when i’m in mr. kabab) & lessen the rice. i also do hiphop abs atleast twice a week, and play badminton occasionally. most importantly, i did not quit drinking.
now i’m underweight and looked anorexic accdg to some people.
we can never please everyone, most especially ourselves. sigh.

You and I are in the same boat. I have started eating less pizza and fried foods (but they are rather lovely). Instead I try my best to pick a yummy salad and snack on veggie chips which, I feel, seem to taste a lot yummier than Lay’s of greasy UTZ chips. I have been eating out less (except weekends when I am mainly on the go) which can help big time. Those temptations are the worst during those PMS spots, but drinking lots of water can curb those cravings as well.
I need time to friggin exercise.
