When I told my non-blogging friends that I was voting for Mike Villar in this year’s Philippine Blog Awards Bloggers’ Choice Award, I was met with puzzled looks. “…Who?” they asked.
“Mike Villar!” I answered, exasperated at their e-ignorance.
“Who?”
“The Rising Internet Superstar???”
They stared at me blankly.
“You remember that Atrocities of Friendster series that came out some years back? He’s the guy who wrote that.”
More blank stares.
“Remember that guy who passed out on us at the Meatshop?” I sigh.
Well, that did it. Finally, flashes of recognition in their eyes!
“But don’t you hate that guy???” they asked.
“Well, yes,” I admitted.
“Isn’t there anyone else you can vote for?!” they pleaded.
“No one!” I exclaimed, passionately.
“Actually, there’s Bim,” I said, after a pregnant pause. “I really should vote for him because Bim is the better-looking dude and he smells nice, but Mikey promised me prescription drugs and we all know how easy I am when it comes to such things.”
Truthfully now, I don’t hate the guy and I am actually (sometimes) proud to be friends with him. His is one of the few Filipino blogs I still read and one of the very few that manages to leave me ROFLWAFFLE-ing at the end of each entry. There’s really no need for me to go into detail and list why I think Mikey is one of the best (if not the best) “bloggers” out there, so I’ll keep it short and sweet: he’s self-deprecatingly funny and witty, he writes well, his vocabulary is GORGEOUS, his penis is as tiny as an SD card (so boys, no need to feel insecure just cos he’s leagues smarter than you), he never fails to make sense, and it would do the world a whole lot good if there was a little Mikey (no, not THAT little Mikey) in all of us.

Women should appreciate small guys. They tend to value you more even if they don’t like showing it. Big guys, and I know what I’m talking about, have a lot of trouble caring.
Just want to say, his writing is very entertaining though there’s a disconnect with the English and the mugshot on the upper right. But where is the Bloggers’ Choice award? All I see are specific categories.
