The boyfriend calls shenanigans but since I figure everything (except murder, incest, and rape) is worth a try, I gave in and got myself a bottle of Bio Enzyme Seaweed Slimming Lotion.

I just started using it yesterday, Sunday, and for 790 a bottle, it better damn work. I’m not quite sure how or why this is supposed to be slimming, but I’ve always had this idea that spa seaweed wraps work in a way that the seaweed absorbs water from your body… which is about as useful and effective as a crash diet and this, my friends, makes me a little stupid. BUT my mom says a friend of hers lost excess chub around her arms using the seaweed slimming lotion (my arms have always been my problem areas) and well, my mom would never lie to me.
I find myself in a Catch-22, though: in order to test if it really works, I’d have to forgo working out (at least) this week; now if I don’t work out and the product proves to be ineffective, I get fat.
Oh, me.

Hello hello, I finally got around to changing this blog’s layout (which has been around for well over a year). It took me two days to work on this (in between actual work tasks) and a very frustrating hour of trying to transfer the theme via FTP (note to self: transfer hosts SOON).
Screencap!

I’ll most likely be making a couple of tweaks here and there (like the ads’s color scheme) and change the Twitter background.
Check out my 404 page!
Yay!

So Halloween came and went and my plans of going as Lala from Little Twin Stars fell through because I didn’t have time to acquire a pink wig, an oversized white nightshirt, and a star wand (plus I came down with a bad bout of the lazies). Too bad, really, but I’ve never been one to go all out on costumes. A quick history of what I’ve been the past years: Tinkerbell gone wrong, a lesbian (LOL ok so kissing Anne at the party doesn’t make me a lesbian), a Korean (they dress weird), and a pregnant woman (though I kept the fetus I was supposed to be carrying inside my bag this year). They’re mostly last-minute ideas that only require clothes that are already in my closet.
Anyhoots, one of my favorite post-Halloween (which I am aware spans from November 1, current year to October 30, next year, but ya know what I mean) things to do is check up on what Hollywood celebs dressed up as (I see that my most hated couple, Speidi, went as Jon & Kate this year). Here are my three favoritest Halloween costumes:

Alyson Hannigan with her hubs and baby girl as a kangaroo family! I totally went “awww” when I saw this.

Kim K as Princess Jasmine!

Gwen Stefani as Jessie from Toy Story 2 and her widdle Rossdale kids as the cutest dinosaurs. Hee.
Looking at Hannigan’s and Stefani’s costumes makes me so excited to have children of my own to dress up for Halloween. For now, though, I have to invest in effective fat burners because I just might go as an American Apparel model next year. I even practiced this morning:

Not racy enough but I’ll work on it, hrrr.

Because I am a cheapskate, I dye my own hair. I don’t do a particularly good job (as I’m probably the only employed girl in this city who doesn’t own a comb (to properly apply the hair dye) and sometimes, an old toothbrush is nowhere to be found) but I’d rather grab a box of cheapy dye (I used to switch brands with every re-dye but I now stick to Kolours which is a little over 200 pesos a box and available in my neighborhood ghetto grocery), spend an hour in my living room with a plastic cap (or bag!) over my head, and smoke and dick around the internets while waiting for the color to set than spend close to two thousand pesos for a professional to do it for me (I’d rather that money go to weight loss pills, tyvm).
I’m cheap, I tell ya. Besides, it’s just hair.
My roots have been bothering me for a couple of weeks now and I finally found the time to recolor the growth last night. This color’s called Zen Auburn and all I could do was giggle at myself when I saw how orange it was last night, after rinsing. Gladly, the color looks a bit better today, if not a little too red for my liking. I really wanted to just go a lighter shade of brown but Zen Auburn was new (and I never use the same color twice in a row).
