Came across this while looking up info on orlando resorts (the internet is weird, I know).

You are Gold Cheetah, who possesses feminine attraction under your bold and youthful attitude.
You are very modern up-to-date woman.
Unlike your kindly appearance, you tend to be short tempered and rather too sensitive and sharp.
You are really a clear-cut type of person, and can be hard minded.
When young, you will go straight to whatever you are aimed at, and therefore you may experience clash of ideas with your parents.
You hate compromising, and may wish to quickly leave home and live on your own.
Once you have set an objective, you will put in your maximum effort to achieve the goal.
You will also use anything to get what you want, and this may seem rather attractive and cute to others.
In ordinary every day life, you can differentiate your ideals and reality.
You tend to think hard about interests and calculation.
You are a quick minded person, and therefore can carry out things cheerfully.
You are very humane, easy to get on with, and honest.
Your characteristic is that you look very logical sort of person at first.
Your realistic personality is better suited to stay working rather than to become a housewife.
You will be able to keep both your career and your family.
If you stay just as a house wife, you can be rather too strict on education, and become a nagging mother.
Cheetahs Characteristics and Profile:
1. Cheetahs are challengers who know when to quit
2. Cheetahs like to win outright
3. Cheetahs are extremely positive thinkers
4. Cheetahs want to succeed more than most
5. Cheetahs have a lot of pride
6. Cheetahs are curious and like to try new things
7. Cheetahs talk big and act big
8. Cheetahs like to look cool in front of others
9. Cheetahs jump to conclusions but are well-meaning
10. For some reason, a lot of people with the Cheetah character like barbecued beef
#10 kind of puzzles me.
Find out yours here.

I’ve been due to retouch my roots for about two weeks now and I finally found a little time to do it last night (after coming home from a long day of power cord-hunting). The last time I dyed my hair, I used something called Zen Auburn; this time, I got a box of Toasted Anise. They look the same, if you ask me lol.

In a week or so, the color will fade to a nice shade of brown.
I’m looking to lighten my brows this weekend.

Since I am/we are without a router, my brother and I can’t go online at the same time. While waiting for him to be done with his Internets Stuff last night, I got to working on my first self-portrait for my 52 Weeks.

Inspired by a Lady Gaga image I found on Tumblr. I wish my right leg wasn’t bent, really.
So I’m a bit excited for my 52 Weeks, though someone on Flickr said something that kiiiinda makes me feel pressured (haha); more time to prepare for a shot + better camera = Helga must not disappoint! I can only hope, I’m still hesitant shooting outdoors (I’d love to shoot next to metal buildings) especially since I don’t have a “shooting buddy”. Someone needs to get here soon, I’ve been waiting for over a year.

I had a very busy day yesterday! Normally, my Sundays are spent lazing about in my apartment and recovering from Saturday night’s hangover but since I only had five bottles of beer that night (I spent Saturday at Anne‘s, nomming on her yummy pasta and chicken fajitas while a bunch of us watched Pieces, Maria Ozawa tentacle porn (gross), and The Big Bang Theory), my body felt pretty pleasant. Good, because I needed to look for a new router power adapter/cord.
Ridiculous how, after waking up from a nap to get ready for Anne’s, I plug in my router and poof! smoke. I stared at it dumbly while trying not to gag at the smell of bad egg and poof!!!, more smoke. I finally realized what just happened, unplugged it, and looked at my laptop (just in case the entire extension cord short-circuited). Phew, it was just the router.
The unit itself didn’t smell burnt, just the 110v to 220v converter and the power cord. Yay!, I thought. No need to buy a new unit! After asking around The Internets where I can find a new power cord, I told my brother what had happened, read a little about insurance marketing, and then left for dinner.
Come Sunday, I stashed the router, cord, and adapter in my bag and went about town looking for a replacement. Buying a new router was my last resort and bobdamnit, it seems to be my only resort. I went to several shops yesterday and none of them had this:

I was told by the nice guys at Ace Hardware to check Electronics Boutique (after telling them Deeko didn’t have it); if they don’t have it, then I’d have to go all the way to Raon in Quiapo. I think I’m just going to buy a new router and a new extension cord since I no longer trust that one socket.
Don’t laugh but I don’t know how to configure routers -_-

AKA a bunch of ~New Year’s Resolutions~ I may or may not keep because I may or may not be a believer of resolutions.
1. Go blonde. Or at least get blonde highlights. The boyfriend replied with a violent NO! when I told him this. Someone’s just gotta deal.
2. Eliminate one kind of meat from my diet. Fish does not count (I barely eat fish anyway plus I can never live without sashimi/sushi), I’m never going to cut out chicken, pork is too accessible… so. Beef it is. Bye bye beef, 2010.
3. That said, only eat chicken hot dogs.
4. Stop obsessing about my weight. It seems like every damn year, I aim to lose weight/whittle my weight down to 105 pounds. I’m turning 25 this year and that has got to stop. Ever since the boyfriend and I got together, I’ve become more appreciative of my body but I still have days when I could pass for someone with BDD. Enough.
5. Take more photos and put to good use the camera I won from fizzer.ph aka Baby Girl. A few photos I’ve taken:

LOLJK, I didn’t take that last one.
I’m learning, I’m learning.
6. Blog more here. I’m on Tumblr everyday because it’s easier to clutter that place with short, random, and stupid stuff. Now that I’m done with my Project365, maybe I’ll have time to get back to blogging.
7. I will spend more time with my family. I had such a blast with them over the holidays and I just realized how much I missed all my relatives. I barely saw any of them the past couple of years, always feigning being too busy whenever one of them had a birthday or a party (I was really just nursing a very bad hangover from the previous night and couldn’t be bothered to shower, get dressed, and travel from Point A to Point B only to get drunk again). That’s gotta change.
8. Stop biting my nails. Very unlikely.
9. Stop coming to work hungover. This roughly translates to: stop drinking so much on weeknights.
10. Learn to cook at least one soupy dish. I’m thinking tinola.
11. Wear slippers during the commute to work. Save my feet and my pretty shoesies the stress since I walk A LOT (and barely wear sneakers). Perhaps not everyday, just every now and then.
12. Work out once a week. I used to be able to work out 3-5 times a week and it’s true that once you stop and break your momentum, it gets harder to get back into it. I usually work out when I get home from work at night (I’m too bleary in the morning) which is pretty late so maybe I can work out on weekends. I’m just blabbering here (so I won’t forget) because I’m the only one who reads everything written in this blog. Kohler faucets are pretty.
13. Start my days earlier. THIS IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO DO but I’m putting this here anyway. No pressure, Helga. Really.
14. Save up for something big. I don’t even know what, but it’s nice to have a goal, no matter how hazy-bordering-on-unknown lol.

If anything, 2009 gave us good music. This here is (obviously) a list of my favorite tracks from last year. I wish I could put them all in a zip file for you to download and listen to while you hit the treadmills (hrhrhr) or are on your way to work but meh, I’m lazy.
10) The Joy Formidable – The Greatest Light Is The Greatest Shade
From A Balloon Called Moaning (which according to the band’s Wiki page was released in Japan in December 2008 but was released again in 2009), this song is #7 in my top tracks on lastfm. Harsh and sometimes grating, yet dreamy and hypnotizing. I don’t know how they do it.
9) Dirty Projectors – Temecula Sunrise
Okay, so maybe Stillness Is The Move is the Dirty Projectors song and so maybe their collab with David Byrne, Knotty Pine (from Dark Was The Night), is unbelievably cute and happy and catchy but Temecula Sunrise wins me over because it is pure chaos. When I first heard this, I switched to my music player, checked the title, and thought to myself “What the hell is up with this song?” Keeee <3
8) Death Cab for Cutie – My Mirror Speaks
Oh, Ben. Oh, The Open Door EP.
2009 was a strange strange year for me, with some aspects in my life (parts that I hold dearly) gone haywire. I did not turn to My Mirror Speaks for comfort; I listened to remind myself of what kind of person I do not want to be:
Cause I’m a man who hides from all that binds
In a mess of fading lines
And there’s a tangled thread inside my head
With nothing on either end
I always fall in love with an open door
Or the horizon on an endless sea
Nah-uh, do not want to be like that.
7) Passion Pit – The Reeling
Manners is just so darn fun to listen to! If I recall correctly, I have at least four photos in my Project 365 set titled after Passion Pit songs: The Reeling, Little Secrets, Make Light, and To Kingdom Come. I pick The Reeling because aside from being the first song of theirs I heard and having the most plays in my iTunes library, it’s also deep and shit.
LOL.
(I particularly prefer the Miike Snow remix).
6) Think About Life – Nueva Nueva
Thank you, Canada, for Think About Life! I think more people should listen to them because they are unequivocally excellent. Nueva Nueva (which I find both uplifting and calming) is my favorite song to listen to while walking home at night, after work. Sweet Sixteen is a second favorite from their 2009 album, Family.
5) Grizzly Bear – Foreground
Veckatimest was one of my most anticipated albums of 2009 and while each and every song from it is hauntingly beautiful (I initially gravitated towards Cheerleader, as I found the beat sexy), Foreground gives me goosebumps.
4) Metric – Help I’m Alive
Everytime I listen to this song, I have the urge to get on my feet, jump around, and dance badassedly. It’s also very very quotable; I don’t know how many times I’ve had to stop myself from tweeting “Help I’m alive, my heart keeps beating like a hammer” over and over again.
3) Animal Collective – My Girls
I get the hugest girlboner for Merriweather Post Pavilion (I bet my bottom dollar it’s on everyone’s Top 10/20 Albums of 2009 lists) and it was hard picking a favorite track off MPP (Summertime Clothes and Brother Sport are a couple of other superfaves). But because My Girls has the awesommest hook in the history of musics (I don’t mean to seem like I care about material things like a social status / I just want four walls and adobe slabs for my girls *insert animalish woop! in the background here*), I pick this.
2) Neko Case – This Tornado Loves You
This song just blows me away.
1) Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Hysteric
It’s like a sobering lullaby, the chorus being words I would whisper into the lover’s ear right before falling asleep.
