Two New Necklaces, Yay!

I finally got the two necklaces I ordered from ebay last week! Nothing fancy or unusual, just a cat pocket watch and an owl necklace.

I know, I know, I know: owl pendants are everywhere. It’s, like, a hipster must-have (that and vinyl records on your bedroom wall, an overflowing bookcase, some fairy lights strung around a blanket hanging over your bed like a tent, a chipped tea pot, personalized footballs, a cookie jar in the shape of a cat… oh, the list goes on) but I really really wanted one. It’s the closest thing to a pet owl that I can have.

It’s a bit heavy (or maybe I’m just not used to having things hanging from my neck) and measures around 2.5inX4.5in. It still has that funny new metal smell.

My kitty pocket watch (front). It’s tinier than I thought it would be (a bit smaller than a five peso coin) and I got it not because I liked the design but because it’s a cat. I wish my local ebay had more options.

Does anyone know where I can find a matryoshka doll pendant/necklace?

  1. Hola, Helga. What’s the account name of the seller? The cat watch looks really awesome.

The kitty pocket watch is the cutest! I think I saw a matroyshka doll necklace at Promod, but it was hella expensive at 900 bucks. :\

Bah =/ If it’s as big as the owl necklace, tho (or bigger), I might ~make patol~ if I can’t find something cheaper.

Haha, I’m liking that owl! It’s a real common pendant, but somehow I’ve never managed to buy it (even though I’ve run into it in several bazaars). Love the little watch.

Those are cute! You’re so lucky you live there where hipster stuff is cute. I love the style but a hipster is the last thing I want to be here in the U.S.

I have an owl necklace that belonged to my late aunt. I think it’s from the 70′s or something..

Those necklaces are both really nice! What exactly makes someone a Hipster? lol And why is it so bad?

I found one in Accessorize in Greenbelt 5. The pendant’s a little small though. It’s around 400 bucks I think.

Lots of other matryoshka stuff (coin purses, etc.) there, too. :)

I love the owl! I have seen similar ones in shops over here, and have been extremely tempted to buy one, but I thought it would end up getting caught on everything, and tangled in my hair. :(
