Fruititarian In The Making

Well, this (+ a coconut papaya shake and a chicken empanada) was dinner.

While looking for pre-packaged salads and patio chairs at the Galleria supermarket last night, I discovered that they have a freshly cut fruit section (near the Express lanes). “Happy joy!” I thought, as I picked up a fruit mix (apples, a thin slice of orange, dragon fruit, grapes, and a dinky kiwi slice. The one pictured is a mix of watermelon, cantaloupe, papaya, and grapes.)

Truthfully, I’d rather be munching on a burger I’m really really trying to develop a liking for fruit. Let’s see how long this lasts. Hopefully FOREVER.

Hi Helga, I blog-hopped my way onto your site.

I can’t help but comment on this post, I go to SM 3-4 times a week for the cut fruit, a nice chunk of my paycheck goes to it, hehe.

My mom doesn’t like me buying those fruits because they’re latak na daw, but I don’t care. :D

Nice blog you have here, I love your photos. Will be adding you on my Google Reader. Have a good day!

Thanks, Dea! I don’t care that they’re latak, too, lol. Saves me the trouble of buying fruit from the market and then having to cut and peel and dispose of waste :D

I’ve recently tried to incorporate more fruit into my diet as well. You might add one bowl of oatmeal to your diet between meals twice daily. I have those small packs of quaker oats and they really tend to curb hunger as well as detox your digestive system from those yummy burgers we sneak from time to time.

Hahaha, I’ve had a packet of instant Quaker oats in my office drawer for months. I need to start liking oatmeal.

How much is that in U.S. dollars? Fruit here is so expensive, and organic fruit is even worse. Which sucks because fruit is, like, ALL I want lately.

A dollar something! PHP45/46 = $1. I can get it cheaper in the wet market but I’m lazy when it comes to preparing fruit.

I’m gonna have to ask Chris about fruit prices there. That guy loves his apples and oranges.
