Does anyone remember how cold it was late 2008 and early 2009? It’s three days ’til Christmas and I’m still waiting for the weather to get chilly. Christmas just doesn’t feel like Christmas when you’re sitting in front of a fan at 10 in the morning with sweaty armpits.

SWEATY, NOT SMELLY, OKAY. My sweat smells like hamburgers, glitter, and Bath & Body Works’s Sea Island Cotton… or cigarette smoke.

Is it obvious yet how much I adore these boots? Best ukay find to date, and only for 330 pesos. I am loving heavy, masculine boots; it makes me feel like a bad ass when I clomp around in them.

For example— last Saturday, as we were waiting for a cab outside SM Megamall, an FX driver approached my friends and I and said he could take us to wherever we needed to go for PHP150. We took him up on his offer because there were about a whole city’s worth of people ahead of us in the line (that wasn’t moving at all). We were skeptical at first and worried that he could single-handedly overpower three girls. Then I remembered I was wearing my bad ass black boots and I confidently informed the driver that my shoes were heavy and that I was a pro at kicking ass. All our reservations dissipated and we went on our way. Thanks, black boots!

If I could, I would attach casters to their soles so I could merrily skate/roll around the city!

The sweater was uncomfortably warm. Nights are pleasantly chilly but days seriously need to get colder!
