A Different Purpose for the Korean Bun Maker

Some time last year, Jannie kindly sent me a Magic Korean bun maker and I’ve been wanting to use it for the longest time but my hair simply isn’t long enough yet (I have serious envy for girls who can wear their hair in a bun on top of their head and adorned with a pretty, oversized bow). It has sat— untouched (save for that one time I took it out and read the instructions)— on top of my table in the Ziploc bag it came in until this morning when I decided to give it a try.

(Jannie also sent me a couple of rings. Thank you ♥♥♥)

A silly bunnytail. I imagine I could make it work and just tuck the loose tail in with a hairpin. I was running late this morning, though, and had no time to re-do the whole thing (plus I still had to google, er, what is three best diet pill on the market) so I decided to just make do without the bun. I took my bun down and was ready to run out the door when I saw my hair…

Pretty, natural-looking waves! You bet I grabbed my camera and remote and snapped a few shots. It made me wish I had some hairspray so I could set the waves and make them last the whole day.

I have my friend, Tin‘s, hair curler but I can never ever make it work for me (plus the heat applied on my hair makes me cringe). Some time this week, I will experiment setting my wet hair with mousse and putting it up in a bun. Ha! I hope it works out.

Try making the bun the night before (you’d have to take a shower first though) and don’t wash your hair the next day. Saves time, gives you natural waves :)
