I had no plans of bleaching my hair last night. The plan was to wait until next weekend so Tara and/or Tin could help me. My Sunday night was supposed to consist of a movie (I took my mom to see Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank, which I already saw a couple of weeks ago at UP; it’s worth watching again) before meeting up with friends at Moonleaf. Unfortunately, my mom and I didn’t make it to the 750pm screening and Moonleaf was already closing by the time the movie ended. Bored and done going through The Equestrian Corner clothing‘s catalog, I decided to just fix my roots once and for all.

I thought a pack of powder bleach would be enough but boy oh boy, was I wrong. Originally, I wanted to get rid of the (faded) Burgundy Wine I had been sporting since May and replace it with Blood Red. That obviously did not happen since I ran out of bleach* and it was already two in the morning when my hair dried completely.
(I didn’t have any light gray dye so I was expecting a brassy bleach job.)
The lighting in these photos were terrible so I edited them. The blonde isn’t that pale/golden IRL.
I know it’s a mess but I quite like it! Admittedly, the lower part is in an even more tragic state but I haven’t been wearing my hair down these days anyway (can’t risk looking like I have a mullet!). I think I’ll keep this around for a week. I just love how the Burgundy Wine faded into a pink after being lightly bleached!

And just because— another photo of Cowbitty. I ADORE him. He is such a sweet and nice little boy. Unsurprisingly, the (miserable) lady next door (who lives with her 3 children) has been stirring up trouble over him (and fabricating BS, too. Oh, I can write the longest rant about this). Good thing our landlord isn’t very fond of them, hah. Two-faced, rude, petty neighbors are the worst kind.
*I was told that if you’re running low on bleach powder, you can just add more developer and leave it in longer. I’m keeping this in mind for next time.
