Tweet Your Way To A Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 +

Samsung Mobile Exchange

Tab Generation, is what Samsung calls it. Admittedly, I’m little left behind on this technology, still relying on a fancy yet too-bulky-to-lug-around laptop and an outdated smart phone (someone is obviously in need of an upgrade) to get things done. While I’m not one to constantly keep up with the latest stuff (I’m either too broke, feeling broke, or too kuripot), I’ve been thinking that a tablet is a necessity. It’s just so… convenient! Plus, I really want a bigger e-reader since I mostly read eBooks these days. Or maybe it’s just plain inggit*, who knows.

Anyway, if you’re anything like me who is in the market for a tablet (been shopping around for one, tbh) yet is too broke, feeling broke, or too kuripot, Samsung Mobile Philippines is launching a Twitter-based program called the Samsung Mobile Exchange. The mechanics are simple enough (obviously, you would need a Twitter account and I’m sure everyone already has one!):

  • Follow @PHSamsungMobile on Twitter
  • Earn points by tweeting, re-tweeting, and receiving tweets from @SamsungMobilePH

This should be a breeze, if you’re as competitive as I am lol. Each tweet/activity has corresponding points which will be displayed on a leaderboard on the Samsung Mobile Philippines Facebook page, along with the program’s full mechanics. Discounts on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7+ (we’re talking PHP5000-10000 off the price) are up for grabs each week; on the final week, you stand a chance to win your own Samsung Galaxy Tab 7+!

The Samsung Mobile Exchange launches today, March 5 at noon.

*At the Toro Y Moi gig at Hard Rock Cafe last week, I stupidly left my dSLR’s battery at home and had to make do with my phone’s crappy camera to snap photos of the band (I was right in front, too! What a waste). My friend— who was right beside me— reached into her bag, retrieved her tablet, and started snapping and tweeting pictures :(

I’m definitely glad that I got an iPad, it’s VERY convenient! A lot easier for casual computing, either at home or out and about.

@John Steven, iPad 2 prices are dropping but I kinda want a tab that doubles as a phone, too!
