Lovely Shoes Order #3 aka NEVER AGAIN

I never learn my lesson.

Against my better judgment and once again swayed by the pretty pictures and the cheap prices, I placed my third order with Lovely Shoes a little over two weeks ago (they arrived a few days before Christmas). My last order prior proved to be a bust because these creeper-esque boots thing ended up too tiny as did these boots, while these gave me blisters and these were heavy and uncomfortable (but really cute).

I was doing so well, having gone a year without checking the site until temptation kicked in and I found myself browsing their selection of boots. Originally, I wanted the pink ones I posted in my December Wishlist but my boyfriend hated them and my stupid self was just itching to get new boots. So I did.

Difference in color (I mainly got this pair because the blue and brown combination reminded me of my 80%20 Adairs) and dangly thread aside, it pretty much looks the same as it is on the site. Lovely Shoes sizing can be unreliable (their sizing chart doesn’t make sense) so I got a China 38 since the first boots I ordered from them fit properly and they were a C38. These fit right, with enough allowance for socks. Now, these boots would be perfect except they hurt the outer ankle bone. I have yet to wear them and I’m hoping that thick socks will protect me from blisters.

(Also, you can totally see how I take ~product photos~ now.)

Once again, I went with C38 but as soon as I took them out of the box, my face fell. These boots run a size small! I could probably wear them but only for short periods and only for times I don’t have to be on my feet much (which is almost never since I’m a commuter). They would probably fit a size 6 perfectly.

Hopefully, this will be the last time I get enticed by cheap China shoes!

I still want those pink boots, though.

I have been hankering for a pair of boots last Christmas, but I hesitated (still am) because I don’t think I could pull it off. Also, the pair I’ve been wanting was quite expensive, even when it’s half-off.

I like boots #1. I hope thick socks will work. It’s a sad day when you realize you wouldn’t want to wear a pretty pair of shoes because it will hurt like hell. One thing I learned is never trust salespeople, and myself, when they/I say “luluwag pa naman yan”.

Wow. The stock photos are really deceiving. The first one in particular is totally disappointing. The second one is bad but for me it’s a “i-can-live-with-it” kind of bad. I’ve tried buying shoes online, too (without much success). Which is why I just go straight to a store where I can try them on. It just sucks that most designs I like are only available online. :\

Hi Helga!! I used to buy from Lovelyshoes too and I didn’t like the quality as well. Why don’t you try or yesstyle (but do not buy bags! I just bought some and the quality was pretty bad) the shoes are okay tho. :)

I thought yesstyle gets their shoes from wholesale places like Lovely Shoes, too? I was reading blog reviews on Lovely Shoes and someone bought a pair of sneakers on LS that was offered on YS but for twice the price yata.

The shoes I buy from YS seem okay but they are pumps. I’ve had them for a few years and they’re okay still. Try ASOS. They offer free shipping worldwide too. :)

They both look great but it sucks that they’re not really comfortable for you. I hate it when that happens. I’d love to see pictures of your sexy self wearing them though. :D

Ah yeah I know what you mean. Happened to me with my winter boots. So ugly, I sent them back the same day.

Surprised about Boots # 1 and feelings for it because I have the same pair (in black tho) and the same feelings when I got it in real time. The boots had faux fur inside which made me feel more weird when I wore it with socks. I was scared of any blisters or fungal chuchus that I might get with that situation on my feet.

I brought it on a different site.

i also have the first one. i bought it on a thrift shop in P’que. a got it on a VERY, VERY cheap price!! i saw it was so cheap and looks good so i bought it and i joked the guys and ask if they can lower the price and gave me almost 50% discount!!!

it is actually comfy at first but it hurt my right ankle after few hours wearing em.. i think it is because of the inner fabric covering the boots frame is too thin.. i also had a bad experience wearing them on rainy days.. it kinda absorbs all the water on the floor.. i checked if the sole was already broken but its not.. i only wear it like 3 times. but i got the same color on the first picture.

I was planning to buy boots as well in that site, but it’s hard to look for my size >_ 3 <) In the end, I decided to to check out at landmark first before buying online. And I got what I wanted, it was originally Php 2.5k and I bought it for 1k~

Yeah. Im not really fond of buying shoes online since it’s difficult if you get the size wrong. Not like when you get a size wrong in a dress. But yeah, the boots look soooo nice in photos. <3
