I never learn my lesson.

Against my better judgment and once again swayed by the pretty pictures and the cheap prices, I placed my third order with Lovely Shoes a little over two weeks ago (they arrived a few days before Christmas). My last order prior proved to be a bust because these creeper-esque boots thing ended up too tiny as did these boots, while these gave me blisters and these were heavy and uncomfortable (but really cute).

I was doing so well, having gone a year without checking the site until temptation kicked in and I found myself browsing their selection of boots. Originally, I wanted the pink ones I posted in my December Wishlist but my boyfriend hated them and my stupid self was just itching to get new boots. So I did.

Difference in color (I mainly got this pair because the blue and brown combination reminded me of my 80%20 Adairs) and dangly thread aside, it pretty much looks the same as it is on the site. Lovely Shoes sizing can be unreliable (their sizing chart doesn’t make sense) so I got a China 38 since the first boots I ordered from them fit properly and they were a C38. These fit right, with enough allowance for socks. Now, these boots would be perfect except they hurt the outer ankle bone. I have yet to wear them and I’m hoping that thick socks will protect me from blisters.

Once again, I went with C38 but as soon as I took them out of the box, my face fell. These boots run a size small! I could probably wear them but only for short periods and only for times I don’t have to be on my feet much (which is almost never since I’m a commuter). They would probably fit a size 6 perfectly.

Hopefully, this will be the last time I get enticed by cheap China shoes!

I still want those pink boots, though.
