Talk about an unplanned hiatus. I haven’t been in the mood to blog since I lost my laptop to a bowl of sinigang last month. I was expecting I’d have Montana back by now but thanks to a fuck-up at the service center I went to, it might take a couple more weeks before I can get the top case replaced. At this point, there’s really nothing else I can do but wait because it’s my last night in Quezon City (moving back in with my folks tomorrow!) and I don’t have time to seek out the services of another Mac center.
I’m still not in the mood to blog so I’m just going to dump a bunch of Instagram photos from January!
For starters, I got my Nook!
Named it Nook Skywalker and it’s still with my friend because it needs to be rooted to work as an Android device, as I don’t have a US/Canadian credit card.
I also went back to blonde towards the end of 2012 because the pink and purple were bleeding together.
Got my iPhone 4s so I can now take better camera pics of LMF.
My first piece from OS Accessories— The Heartwave Necklace!
This is Boy, my dad’s kitten, who is staying at the apartment while I move out. He is the babiest <3
I got clip-in blonde extensions. Only 20USD from an eBay seller and its 100% human hair!
I saw The Ataris live in Venice Piazza. We only had to pay 800PHP for a shirt to get in and they played a full set! Not bad.
Just in case you still don’t have a 2013 planner, you might be interested in Moonleaf’s! Only 295PHP and I have a picture in it!
I dyed my hair Crazy Color Lavender thinking it would fade to an even silver/gray (it didn’t, by the way).
Got these super awesome sunnies from eBay!
Went to Tony and Jackey (Timog branch) for a haircut and Veronica styled it so nicely!
I plan to get a straightener so I can duplicate this look. Very Sunny of SNSD/Frenchy from Grease!
Packed my bag for a week in Singapore…
And arrived on a rainy afternoon!
It was my second time staying at a hostel but my first time to stay in a dorm-type room. It was a tiny hostel so it was easier to socialize with the other guests.
Penny and I stayed up until 4am drinking with German backpackers who were staying at the hostel next door.
My reason for going to Singapore— Big Night Out!
I bought my first pair of Crocs at the outlet store in Changi City Point. Not sure how much Crocs go for but these were 40SGD. Please tell me if I got a good deal lah.
For nomz! The salmon balls were gross, by the way.
Saw these blinged out My Little Pony iPhone cases at Far East Plaza. They were 60SGD!!! I need to get my hands on some new ponies and crystal sheets so I can DIY one for myself.
Malen and I tagged along with Penny’s gay friends to Tantric, a gay club somewhere in Chinatown where a gay Indian boy told me I was pretty, hee.
Tin, Malen, and I being ghetto. Singapore sidewalks cleaner than Manila ah.
We went to Henderson Waves to hang out and drink a couple of beers. Nature called on our way down and Chinatown was a long ride away so I peed behind a tree. Checked to see if there were any CCTVs and saw none, so I should be safe. I think.
Met up with Beejing for dinner at Lau Pa Sat! I’ve known Beejing through the internet for years but never met him IRL until this trip. “Nakapag-ipon ka na ba para sa bahay?” is the first question to ask any OFW. Oo daw!
Socializing with other hostel guests. Got free drinks, yay!
View from LeVel 33. Singapore is so pretty!
On my way to Big Night Out!
Band of Horses.
Vampire Weekend <3333 They are better live and played an intense, solid set. Chris Baio is also the best dancer lol.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs <3
Flight back home. Obligatory window plane picture.
Home and finally reunited with the kitties!
I miss Singapore and hostel life but seven days without LMF is too long! I was starting to go a little nuts due to the lack of furry affection.
All in all, January turned out to be pretty fantastic and I’m going to work my hardest to keep this up! With February comes two new major changes— moving back in with my folks to save on money and a new job that will hopefully turn into an office job (as I’m getting tired of working from home). I have my reservations but I’m all about improving my finances this year!
