Yesterday was my first rice-free day in weeks! I’ve been eating a lot of rice and bad carbs ever since I started working in an office again, but I’m trying not to beat myself up over it.

Breakfast:

Two eggs and slices of kesong puti.

Lunch:

Homemade beef patties. Look, ma, no rice!

Snackin quackin:

Guapple/Taiwanese guava (are they the same thing???) aka my favorite fruit. I usually eat it with rock salt and vinegar but I can’t really pack those two with me to work.

A Nestle Crunch bar. I had mega cravings for it while I was typing my Man of Steel x Nestle Crunch giveaway so I brought a bar home from the grocery. I wish I bought two!

Dinner:

I headed to Enderun after work for the Bensimon launch, where we were served a five-course meal.

Amuse-bouche, gobbled up in five seconds. I love you, prosciutto.

Was delighted to be served salmon mi-cuit with caper herb dressing again!

French onion soup. A bit sweeter than necessary.

Chicken Basquaise. In the words of Gordon Ramsay: IT’S BLAND!!! I didn’t bother finishing it because I’d rather my calories come from something else. What a waste :(

According to the menu chalkboard, dessert was Louis XV which confused me a bit because this is what Louis XV looked like 2 years ago. This was a hazelnut sponge with chocolate ganache and was mega delicious.

It rained the whoooole night last night which really pissed me off because I had to go to El Chupacabra for drinks after the event. I made the dumb mistake of letting go of the cab my co-workers and I took from the Fort to Glorietta so I wasted maybe 15 minutes of my life standing in line for another one. The line never moved. I walked to Family Mart, bought an umbrella, and walked to Makati Avenue to get a cab from there. Smarts, I have it!
