Glamourboxes tend to sell out really fast so when they announced that slots were open for their June box early last month, themed/titled Bridal Bliss, I immediately snapped one up. It finally arrived last weekend!
The Bridal Bliss Glamourbox is all about skin care. Honestly, I would have preferred seeing makeup because I’m iffy when it comes to messing with my current skin care routine. I wouldn’t say that my complexion is problematic but I get the occasional cystic pimple or two that seem to stay forever. It’s annoying but I’ve come to accept that maybe this is the clearest my skin can get. Don’t wanna mess with that!
What’s in the baaaaaaax
Physiogel Intensive Cream
I already have three moisturizers I use on rotation (St Ives Timeless Skin, Mary Kay Timewise, and Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel) but that doesn’t mean I’m going to put this to waste! I’ve started using this on my outer ankle bone (which is almost always dry), hands, and elbows. It’s non-greasy and absorbs easily. This also seems to be a subscription box regular lol.
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Moisture Sunscreen
I already have two bottles of this so I’ll probably just give this to Tin. I ♥ Neutrogena, though when it comes to their sunscreen, I prefer the Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch for its powdery finish.
Nippon Esthetic Solutions Facial Cleansing Sponge
I’m really not sure what facial sponges are for? I’m pretty old school and non-fancy when it comes to exfoliating my mug— baking soda and a baby toothbrush are all I need. It says that this can be used for removing makeup but personally… I can’t remember the last time I’ve had to use makeup remover! I barely wear gel liner on my lids these days (because I don’t want to look like a panda five minutes into my gym routine) and all my makeup is off by the time I’m done with circuit training.
Barenaturals Skin Perfecting Primer and Barenaturals Lip Stix in I Love You This Smooch
Hideous packaging aside, I am really liking these two products, especially the primer. It’s a gel that goes on powdery and promises a matte finish. I used it this morning (instead of my Etude House Baby Choux Base, then skipped the BB cream) and whadda ya know— it delivers! Really happy about this, especially since it’s hot as balls out today. I am missing that dewy-oily look the Baby Choux Base gives, though lol. Will definitely be purchasing this in the future.
Mustela PhysiObebe No-Rinse Cleansing Fluid
Holy crap, this stuff smells fantastic! I packed this with me today for use on my face after the gym tonight. Online reviews seem favorable.
Isis Pharma Dermatologie Teen Derm Gel (for Oily Skin with Imperfections)
Oily skin with imperfections— that pretty much sums up my face. Looking forward to trying this facial cleanser and really, really hoping this gets rid of my damn zits!
The box also came with two coupons/vouchers— one for an underarm wax sesh at Wink and one for a Plana Forma trial.
A Glamourbox subscription is PHP595 a box and I just recently learned that they no longer release boxes every month. A bit of a shame, really, because I would love a July box! Hesitation over new skin care products aside, I still liked the Bridal Bliss box. I swear to G, I will find a use for those Nippon facial sponges!
