Nothing Beats Fibr: The PLDT FibrExperience Event at Buddha Bar

We’ve been with PLDT for as long as this house had a phone line (give or take twenty years!). Save for a few snafus over billing issues (that was quickly resolved with a phone call) and that one time when we didn’t have internet for a month because of Ondoy (LOL), I would say we’re pretty satisfied customers. If we weren’t, we wouldn’t have bothered to get the PLDT Telpad plan this year!

My good friend, Tin, now works for PLDT’s digital marketing arm and invited me to the Fibr launch at Buddha Bar a couple of weeks ago. Fibr is PLDT Home’s most powerful broadband connection. Early this year, they started offering Clickplay services where subscribers can stream movies at home. Now, they’ve partnered up with Cignal Digital TV so subscribers can both enjoy high definition TV and stream movies on Clickplay simultaneously.

They also launched the new Dual-Core Telpad (I won one!) last month and I cannot wait to get my hands on it!

I got to try Fibr at the event itself and I must say it’s really mabilis! They had four Fibr-powered hotspots set up for the crowd (made up of fabulous PLDT execs, socialites, and media folks) and I had no trouble tweeting and uploading the Instagram videos I took of The xx the night before (hehe). Despite the amount of people present at Buddha Bar, the models had no problem demonstrating Clickplay on the all-new Telpad to the guests!

PLDT also flew in DJ Tenashar, Hong Kong’s hottest DJ, for the night! I’m going to Hong Kong tomorrow, makikita ko kaya siya?! :P

Meanwhile, I look like a dumpling.

To enjoy Cignal’s digital TV channels, Fibr subscribers only need to upgrade to the triple play package which includes broadband, landline, and Cignal Digital TV. Subscribers can connect up to three TV sets when they avail of the triple play package.

All Fibr plans are now powered by the new Fibr modem, a wireless router and modem in one. Fibr plans start at P3500 in speeds of up to 8Mbps and the Cignal Digital TV service comes free at higher plans.

Fibr is now available in over 600 subdivisions in key cities nationwide like Forbes Park, Dasmarinas Village, Ayala Alabang, Greenhills, Valle Verde, White Plains, and Greenmeadows in Metro Manila; Cebu Royale Estate and Beverly Hills in Cebu; and Don Lorenzo in Davao.
