I mostly shopped, ate, and did touristy stuff the five days I was in Hong Kong last month. I wasn’t really in the mood to immerse myself in culture-y stuff because pa-culture is the new pa-cool and I’m just tryna keep it rill. Plus it rained two or three days while we were there, making exploring a bit hard. Besides, it’s just Hong Kong; it’s super easy to go back.
First, some random pictures that I am unable to categorize:
Ysa and I took the Cityflyer bus from the airport to Causeway Bay (40HKD). Cheaper than the Airport Express (100HKD)! The buses have wifi, too!
Some building in Central IDK.
Ysa and I going back to BLT Burger (where we had lunch our second day) after shopping so we could go online.
We really like Toys R Us okay.
The Forever21 with four floors (five, including the basement) open ’til 1am was near our hostel. Four floors of chaka. I could not find a single thing I wanted to buy.
On to the touristy stuff. Our third day (Wednesday) was supposed to be Disneyland Day. Unfortunately, there was a typhoon warning and Hong Kong shut everything down for half a day (!!!!!!!). Off to a late start, we decided to head to Avenue of Stars.
Avenue of Stars
The weather was really stupid.
Venue of Stars! Seriously could not get a decent picture in because the wind kept giving me high fives in the face.
Looked for Tony Leung’s star…
And Maggy Cheung’s, too.
I don’t understand why people were touching the ground/the hand prints. People’s shoes have been all over that??? It’s very dirty??? And wet???
Don’t shake hands with people in Hong Kong. Or at least the ones from mainland China.
After Avenue of Stars and a very late lunch at The Flying Pan, we went to Madame Tussaud’s for the lulz.
I don’t know why I do the things that I do.
