The Sunday Currently // 4

How is it Monday again??? As always, I spent Holy Week in the city doing nothing. I feel far from well-rested and refreshed, though.

The DUFF: Designated Ugly Fat Friend. I finished Mindy Kaling’s book on Wednesday and immediately started The DUFF. It’s been four days but I have yet to get past chapter 2. I feel a little ridiculous reading something written by someone NEARLY A DECADE YOUNGER THAN ME so I’ll probably delete this from the Kindle when I get home tonight and pick a different book.

I should be getting a head start on a Monday deadline but I’m still not in the mood to work.

To a Spotify playlist called Young, Wild & Free lol. I was actually at the Spotify launch a couple of weeks ago as Joey’s +1 but I still don’t know how I feel about it? I think I still prefer 8tracks and its explore feature (classical + study being my office favorite).

Of things to do tonight. I really wanted to watch Grand Budapest Hotel but it’s only being shown in Ayala Malls.

Like Citronella! The mosquito situation at Joey’s studio and front porch can get pretty bad so I’ve taken to keeping a bottle of Citronella lotion in my bag.

FOR A KINDER SUMMER. I cannot deal with this heat.

I can avoid refined sugars for a week, starting tomorrow. The thought is killing me because we have so much chocolate at home right now!

A black embroidered dress (actually a top but I got it in Large so I can wear it as a dress) from Forever21.

These two.

Although I find it a bit insulting that LMF seems to like Joey more than she likes me. She slept beside Joey last night and when we switched sides this morning, she crossed over and curled up next to him.

A drink. I hate that the long weekend is over.

A pedicure (still). My brows and girlstache threaded, my bangs trimmed and my roots bleached!

Ugly. I’m trying a new skincare regimen that includes glycolic toner. It stings and makes my face all red and splotchy! Coupled with the summer heat, it’s just not a pretty sight.

If you’re looking for a read, try South of The Border, West of the Sun by Haruki Murakami. Also, that shirt -> dress idea is actually pretty clever, especially since I’ve only just reached 5’0”. :D I’ve followed your blog since way before you got the cat tattoo, and you’re beautiful -always been, always will be.
