Once again, I’ve neglected my blog! I didn’t mean to; in fact, I’ve been jotting down ideas here and there. It’s just that between work and my social life (okay, more like coupled life), I find it hard to make time to blog. I also tend to come up with what I think would make interesting posts only to dismiss them later (when I’ve sobered up he he he) because I realize they’re a bit more personal than I’d like to be on the internet.
Maybe one day I’ll stop caring (again).
Meanwhile, here’s the haps.
Joey flew out to Marbella last Friday and I am physically single until the 23rd. It kind of really sucks and this is the longest time we’ll be apart since we started dating last year. It’s not that we’re a clingy couple, we’re just used to seeing each other everyday and we never tire of each other’s company. I also see spending an hour or so with him after work as kind of a reward, or simply something to look forward to.
Obviously, I haven’t gone nuts yet but I did have to take up a couple of new hobbies to occupy my mind while he’s off basking under the Andalusian sun and stuffing his face with paella and deli meats. JK, he’s there for work.
So I’m trying my hand at gardening.
At dinner at Joey’s last Thursday, I told his mom I was taking up gardening in Joey’s absence. She LOL-ed and told me to let her know if my flowers grow. So flowers, you better fucking grow. I actually have no clue what I’m doing. I placed organic compost in three separate pots, dumped all the petunia seeds in one and divided the calendula seeds between two. I may have buried them too deep, too.
While “gardening,” I took a peek at my dad’s mini-forest and was surprised to see how dense it was!
As I mentioned on my Instagram, my mom had most of the trees cut down when they separated last year. I’m glad the few days of rain we had brought it back to life.
I also got on the Rainbow Loom bandwagon.
Joey got me a kit for my birthday. Allow me to gush about how well my boyfriends knows me: GUSH GUSH GUSH.
My looming skills are still pretty basic and I mostly make fishtail loombandz because it’s my favorite pattern. I thought I’d have time to study new patterns over the weekend but I had to go to two events for work.
Ever since Panda passed away, I’ve made it a point to spend a few minutes each day with CB.
He’s such a sweet, needy guy and I wish he were allowed indoors so we could spend more time together.
I saw this pretty girl yesterday.
I really want a bull terrier! They’re such funny-looking fellas.
Also, I went to Paris.
Lame joke, I know.
