Bits and Pieces

A few more days before Joey comes home!

A cropped view from the 11th floor. We had a really pretty sunset the other day and this was the view from our side of the office.

A visit to the ER. Spontaneous neck muscle spasm, according to the doctor.

I miss cracking my neck. I tried to yesterday and I ended up howling-crying in pain LOL.

Home things. The doctor ordered 1-2 days of rest. I’m getting a little antsy.

Cleaning out my closet. Friends and I will be holding a garage sale soon! I’m a bit undecided if I want to keep this sweater (which I’ve only worn once, indoors) because it makes for a nice background for photos.

Sunny skies make for happy baby plants! I had to shuffle the plants around yesterday because it kept raining on and off. I’m glad I didn’t have to today! Yesterday, it poured while I was sleeping (sedative effect of my muscle relaxant) and my newly-planted daisies got soaked. Please live, daisybabies!

Baby calendulas. So I’m not such a failure after all! I’ve given up on my petunias but I’m glad that three seeds (another one sprouted today) made it.

Pretty Olive getting some afternoon sun. Maybe I’m just a paranoid plant parent but I noticed she seemed to be stretching (as succulents who don’t get enough sun do).

Flats and cats. My cats = Macavity.

Afternoon read. It’s been a mostly pleasant week.

This reminds me to clean out my closet too. I’ve stopped buying new things because I feel like I only wear the same two outfits all the time.

Got the Gaiman book a month ago as an impulse buy but hey, no regrets at all. Sometimes, we need things that, uhm… you know, “take us away from here”. If you know what I mean… :)

How did you like The Ocean at the End of the Lake? :) I thought it was just ok! I loved Lettie, tho.
