10 happy things

Friday’s 10 Happy Things // 3

Friday's 10 Happy Things | blog.ditz-revolution.net

Welcome to Friday’s 10 Happy Things where I/we list ten things that made us smile this week so that we can start the weekend on an even more positive note!

To be honest, today isn’t so great because I saw a kitten die on our street this morning. The neighbor didn’t see the little baby hiding under his car (probably perched on top of one of the wheels) and ran over it. Just like that, a life is gone. So please please please: if you drive (or know anyone who drives), always check your car for hiding cats or dogs before starting the engine. It only takes a minute and it could save a life.

Anyway, here are this week’s 10 happy things:

  1. New makeup. I got Coastal Scents’ Revealed palette and it is beautiful. I’ve been jonesing for Naked and Naked2 for the longest time but couldn’t decide if I really wanted to spend $60~ per palette. I was about to buy Naked2 when the Revealed palettes showed up on Amazon’s recommended widget. A dupe for a fraction of the price.
  2. Seeing my work come to life.
  3. Indian mangoes. My second favorite thing about summer (first is longer days).
  4. Working on my blog. I’ve set some content buckets, privatized a lot of posts, and I’m halfway done with de-cluttering my categories. I am maybe 70% done with this audit.
  5. Todd English Food Hall’s flatbread and sliders. Those are the two best things I put in my mouth all week. Sorry, Joey.
  6. New headphones from SpotifyPH. My first pair ever (would ya believe) because I just use the Apple earbuds that came with my phone.
  7. Reaching level 217 on Candy Crush Soda. I’m not very good at this game so I’m pretty pleased.
  8. Finally finding an available unit at Pico de Loro for my birthday weekend. I was so close to cancelling my plans out of frustration.
  9. My mom’s boyfriend gave me money to buy Story of Seasons for my 3DS (even though I’m still not done with The Tale of Two Towns).
  10. Waking up from a nap to find Freakie lying down on me. She’s not a cuddly cat so it makes me really happy when she shows me some affection.

I MADE A BUTTON! Since this is a link-up, it would be fantastic if more people joined so I added the option for you guys to include the button at the end of your entry to spread the word. NOT REQUIRED! :)

On #10: My puppy is malambing but too hyper for me to enjoy any cuddle time. So when she lays her head on me and sleeps on me, I seriously melt! It reminds me of Heath Ledger in A Knight’s Tale when he says: “If I could ask God one thing, it would be to stop the moon. Stop the moon and make this night and your beauty last forever.”

Only, I think it to my puppy.

I might have to try noting down happy stuff during the week so I don’t forget. Trying to remember ten isn’t as easy as I thought it would be pala.

And sorry to hear about the kitten. :(

    • Reply Helga May 11, 2015 at 11:06 am

      Poor kitty. Thanks, April. :(

Terrible thing, what happened to the kitten. :(
Cats here do the same thing and I told my dad to check for them first before he starts his car. My dad loves animals so I know he checks all the time.

I love your list. #5 made me laugh out loud! Hihi.

I am trying to stop buying 3DS games because I haven’t finished any yet. I’ve been playing Rune Factory 4 but I stopped because I was getting stressed trying to level up my crops. Might pick it up again soon!

Joining in this week. Was able to hit “publish” before 12 AM. Hehe.

I brought my 3DS to work cos I wanted to play Harvest Moon but the battery’s dead pala. =/

  • Reply Jae May 9, 2015 at 2:36 am

Indian mangoes, YES! We used to harvest a basket or two from our backyard, and I could eat a dozen in one sitting. Mangoes + spicy bagoong = HEAVEN!

    • Reply Helga May 11, 2015 at 11:09 am

      Spicy bagoong OMFG <3

  • Reply Christine May 9, 2015 at 3:15 am

No. 5 – sorry Joey. Made me laugh out loud!

Naked2 is a really good investment. Bought mine and no regrets. It’s fantastic!

Have a great weekend Helga :)

I’m liking Revealed so far but I need to watch more tutorials! I suck at eyeshadow.

Have a great week too, Christine!

That story about the kitten just broke my heart! I remember my childhood cat crawled under the hood of my mom’s car. We were thankful that she was crying to come out before my mom had a chance to start the car. I can’t imagine how I would have felt if she had died under the hood.

I’m so glad your kitty was saved. Seeing animals die in front of you is so traumatizing. :(

  • Reply Jam Go May 9, 2015 at 11:36 pm

Ako I make it to a point to check if my kuting na nakatambay sa gulong ko before ako sumakay, I just can’t afford na makasagasa or makapatay ng animals. Anywayy, I like your Spotify headphones!

    • Reply Helga May 11, 2015 at 11:18 am

Thank you for always remembering to do that, Jam!

And may bag pa na kasama yung Sennheiser headphones! So happy.
