Radiant Skin in 4 Steps With St. Ives

Radiant Skin with St Ives | blog.ditz-revolution.net

I have a tiny bathroom so bathroom real estate is pretty precious to me. This means I carefully choose what products I keep and refrain from trying new things because they might not work for me and end up as clutter (I have problems throwing things out, no matter how much I KonMari lol). The one thing I always have in my bathroom, though, is a bottle of my favorite St Ives Apricot Scrub.

Seriously, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t use St Ives!* It’s probably one of the most trusted and well-loved brands among my social circles.

I’ve had a handful of people compliment me on my skin and have asked what I do. It’s simple, really! Good genes, good lighting, a good camera, and a good skin care regimen.

I also make it a point to stay away from products that contain harsh chemicals or ingredients I’m unfamiliar with. A while back, I considered getting into Korean skin care but I was so overwhelmed with all these acronyms (BHAs? AHAs?) and restrictions (I can’t sweat???) that I decided to not even bother and just stick to what I know. I mean, daily life’s already as complicated as is; why complicate it further with the stuff I use on my skin?!

Today, I thought I’d share with you my super easy and super simple 4-step skin care routine (powered by St Ives). Seriously, if you have unproblematic skin like I do (blessed, I guess), all you need are the basics!

1. St Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub (I alternate this with the Blemish Control one)

My most favorite cleanser! I love how it leaves my skin (and my hands!) feeling smooth instantly and I especially appreciate that St Ives uses 100% natural exfoliants in their cleansers and body washes. While do love my microbeads, I love Mother Nature more and don’t want my vanity polluting our seas.

2. Sea Salt Body Wash

I call this my little spa in a bottle. Seriously, it smells DIVINE and I really take my time in the shower with this. I pour a dollop on my loofah and just go to town scrubbing and exfoliating.

3. Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer

No kidding, this was my main moisturizer before I started using essential/natural oils. This stuff is GREAT because it really hydrates your skin and leaves it glowing (like legit, I noticed my skin was glowing) and feeling supple. The huge tub is PHP249 and will last you months. Can you say sulit?!

4. Oatmeal and Shea Butter Body Lotion

Living in a tropical country means I have to be very picky about my lotion and there are times that I’d rather deal with dry skin than slather on lotion that leaves me feeling gross and sticky. I like that this lotion is non-greasy and is easily absorbed by my skin. I’m not scared to go wild and overboard applying it! It also smells really nice (reminds me of my mom) and is ultra-hydrating.

Are you a St Ives user, too? What are your favorite St Ives products?

*Well, except for my boyfriend and that’s about to change. Last night before bed, he asked me what he needs to get ~beautiful radiant skin~ and GUESS WHO’S GETTING ST IVES FOR CHRISTMAS???

To be honest, I don’t use that anymore, the apricot scrub, but for a long time during high school and college, that was my go-to facial wash. What I am interested to try out is the lotion. I am also picky with my lotion, and I prefer the non-sticky-after-feel. ;)
