New Year slash Tin‘s 21st birthday was spent at The Fort with our two new Korean friends (Sundae and Ina), Charles, Thysz (my fabulous gay BFF), and Bijan.

Since we’re old, all we did was head to Agave for their bottomless margaritas. It’s funny because Paul, our waiter, knew Sundae and Ina (I guess they’re regulars).

I had a pretty grand weekend. I’m still giddy about my Saturday night (I modeled lingerie (!!!) for House of Vanita along with six other bloggers) and I’m not quite sure how to write about it so I’ll do it later this week. Here is a photo my friend, Tin, took of me during the show:

The little belly is cute, okay. I’m redoing Recovery Week (Insanity) because I missed two days last week.

I’m happy to report that I am still beer and coffee-free! I have to rethink this no beer business, though, because I still drink the same amount of alcohol but in sugary alcopop/vodka/tequila. The point is to cut down and I’m failing that.

Friday was a holiday (end of Ramadan) so I got the day off work. I went thrifting (I only got a few pieces and they’re not clothes I am totally in love with =/), shopped around for a rack mount PC (not pictured), went for an ice cream milkshake (not pictured), watched Eclipse (not pictured), worked out (definitely not pictured), and then headed out to Mogwai with friends for drinks.

My favorite buy from Friday— a Cath Kidston bag for PHP175!

Photos For A Friday!

Today, I planned on finishing a draft where I tell the world about my biggest insecurity (leg scars) but it’s a Friday and all that’s going through my mind is PARTY! PARTY! PARTY!

(K, that’s not even true. I’m staying in tonight to work out (fourth day in a row, yay! I only do thirty minutes of cardio, though), watch My So-Called Life and maybe some Jersey Shore, and chat with my boyfriend.)

Since I’m not in the mood to talk about my issues, I’ll just post a bunch of photos!

This week’s purchases:

e.l.f. Plumping Lip Glaze in Mauve Berry (I don’t know why I still bother with e.l.f. products but I love how it makes my lips tingly and feel minty), Nivea Angel Star lip balm, Maybelline Shine Free Blush (20% off!), and Maybelline Impact Express felt liner. I don’t know why I waited this long to get a felt tip liner; it is a godsend.

Happy Pasig Day Plus New Stuff

I got the day off from work today because it’s Pasig Day (and I work in Ortigas Center, yay) so I made plans with my friend, Tin, to hit SM Megamall. …And we swear it wasn’t because Forever21 opened today. Tin needed a backpack and I needed to look at some all clad copper core cookware, heehee. We didn’t have much time because Tin was meeting some friends for dinner at 4pm so we rushed through the afternoon. I was running late (what else is new) having done the oil cleansing method before taking a shower (more about this in another blog entry!) so it was a little past two when we met up (we’re neighbors, by the way!) and it had already started to rain.

This crazy changing weather sucks.

I’m wearing my irritating fake glasses because I did my makeup in less than five minutes and my eyeliner got all messy. That plus sweat plus the rain = UGH.

Hello hello, ’tis Friday, ’tis the weekend. I plan on staying in and playing Frontierville on Facebook (I am a loser, yes) while eating healthy things that will make me look less like a cheeseburger and more like a vixen of sorts. I might not be able to resist a bag of Cheetos, though, so we shall see.

At 830am, the sun peeks through the side of my native blinds, reflects on my mirror, and blinds me. That is my cue to get up and start the day but I usually just flip my head to the other end of the bed.

A List Of Things That Make Me Happy

1. The smell of cheap burgers frying.
2. The smell of breakfast cooking.
3. The smell of clean laundry. Someone should really bottle this up and sell it as perfume.
4. Pretty girls. They are very inspiring.
5. Tapsi ni Vivian. It’s terrible, but I especially love the chicharon bulaklak.
6. Sober weekends spent on my couch, watching CSI episodes.
7. Bubble tea.
8. Liempo.
9. Hotdogs.
10. Stalking.
11. Chocolate pretzel sticks.
12. Being able to read up on just about everything on the internet. Today, I read about life insurance.
13. When my boyfriend calls me “babydoll/babydollz”.
14. Waking up early (and not having to rush through my morning routine).
15. The sound of the camera shutter.
16. Cats that don’t run away when I approach them.
17. Finding stuff that I was looking for on ebay.ph
18. Flossing and cleaning my ears!
19. Completing a game of Klondike on my iPod.
20. Making a perfect cup of black coffee (I often mess this up: too much sugar/too much coffee).

VALENTINE’S DAY WEEKEND.

For Valentine’s Day, the (best) lover (in the world) got me a dozen red roses and a bear. With the help of a wonderful friend, a box long enough to fit a tommy gun was delivered to my office last Friday afternoon. Now while most people scoff at flowers as gifts, I’m the kind of girl who secretly loves being given such tried and tired gifts (but please, no stuffed toys from Blue Magic…unless it’s that enormous, big as-the-real-thing stuffed tiger). You could say it’s a bit uncreative but it’s such a sweet gesture and I think guys need to give their girls roses or flowers at least once in the relationship.

THE BOYFRIEND’S PACKAGE.

Guess who’s a happy kitty cat!

A little over a week ago, the boyfriend lovingly put together a bunch of stuff to send to me. This is the third package he’s sent and thankfully I didn’t have to wait months for it, which is what happens when you ship stuff via Balikbayan boxes. I got the stuff last Saturday, hurray!
