IN THE CITY AND OTHER THINGS.

I made you a mixtape. Perhaps like Carina, I’ll make this a regular thing.

Most of these songs are about cities— New York and Los Angeles, specifically. Some are just songs I like listening to while walking at night and some, songs I love but haven’t listened to in a while. I wanted whimsical yet upbeat and songs that make me feel giddy.

My iPod’s poppy-happy “In the city” playlist:

Aaaand some photos:

country mouse

Eh, I meant to draw mouse ears on this photo and call it “country mouse” but I forgot and I’m too lazy to do it now. Anyway, I wanted to wear this today but the dress’s fabric was too hot. I got really sweaty (you’d think I just had a go and worked out on refurbished fitness equipment) just taking photos out in my balcony. So I changed into this:

levis modern vintage jeans

The pink shirt is really, really thin. I bought it as a beach cover-up but I find it very comfortable for sweltering city weather.

Claudia Schiffer photographed by Erwin Wurm for Vogue Deutsch (November 2009):

Erwin Wurm is an Australian artist. Since the late 1980s he has developed an ongoing series of “One Minute Sculptures,” in which he poses himself or his models in unexpected relationships with everyday objects close at hand, prompting the viewer to question the very definition of sculpture.
