Well, I think this is cute: an online dating community created specifically for tattooed women and men. I guess there are some is a market out there consisting of people who require potential partners to have a tattoo (or two).
I am neither inked nor am I single (and looking for a boyfriend), but if anyone out there is: registration for tattoolovers.com is free.

When I told my non-blogging friends that I was voting for Mike Villar in this year’s Philippine Blog Awards Bloggers’ Choice Award, I was met with puzzled looks. “…Who?” they asked.
“Mike Villar!” I answered, exasperated at their e-ignorance.
“Who?”
“The Rising Internet Superstar???”
They stared at me blankly.
“You remember that Atrocities of Friendster series that came out some years back? He’s the guy who wrote that.”
More blank stares.
“Remember that guy who passed out on us at the Meatshop?” I sigh.
Well, that did it. Finally, flashes of recognition in their eyes!
“But don’t you hate that guy???” they asked.
“Well, yes,” I admitted.
“Isn’t there anyone else you can vote for?!” they pleaded.
“No one!” I exclaimed, passionately.
“Actually, there’s Bim,” I said, after a pregnant pause. “I really should vote for him because Bim is the better-looking dude and he smells nice, but Mikey promised me prescription drugs and we all know how easy I am when it comes to such things.”

Truthfully now, I don’t hate the guy and I am actually (sometimes) proud to be friends with him. His is one of the few Filipino blogs I still read and one of the very few that manages to leave me ROFLWAFFLE-ing at the end of each entry. There’s really no need for me to go into detail and list why I think Mikey is one of the best (if not the best) “bloggers” out there, so I’ll keep it short and sweet: he’s self-deprecatingly funny and witty, he writes well, his vocabulary is GORGEOUS, his penis is as tiny as an SD card (so boys, no need to feel insecure just cos he’s leagues smarter than you), he never fails to make sense, and it would do the world a whole lot good if there was a little Mikey (no, not THAT little Mikey) in all of us.

Between the lover and I, we own a handful of domains, all purchased with plans of turning them into money-making sites/niche blogs. Unfortunately, the webgeek in the relationship (aka me) got distracted with other things while the pushy-naggy one (aka him) got too busy with actual work. It’s been a few months and something has yet to become of the several domains.
One of the reasons nothing has been done about our little projects is because all the domains are hosted on a free server whose service leaves a lot to be desired (no surprise there). My schedule isn’t so busy nowadays (what a laugh, really) so I have time to look for webhosting. I’m always on the lookout for affordable hosts that offer good packages and I came across Webhosting Geek’s list of the top 10 web hosts for 2008. It’s helpful information; now all I need is the lover to decide on one (because I am a woman and by default, can’t make any decisions. Har).

I’ve been scouring the internet lately, looking for quick and easy (oh, you know me, never up for a challenge unless there’s promise of vodka, undying love, and half-naked pictures of Ed Westwick when it’s all over) freelance gigs I could do during the weekends. It’s about time I start taking on “side jobs” and hopefully build a client base, seeing that ultimately (like, five years from now), my plan is to work from home.
Okay, the truth is: I’m running out of drug money.
It’s been a day and unsurprisingly, I’ve got nothing. Mainly because I got distracted by this list of funny job descriptions. A few favorites:
-Read things that don’t matter, then write papers saying they do matter, for points that don’t matter, in order to get a job doing something totally unrelated: Student
-Take numbers on pieces of paper, rearrange them and put them on different pieces of paper: Tax Accountant
-Teach your kids enough to complain but not enough to make a difference: College Teacher
-Make sure nothing ever happens: IT Security
-Run away and call the police: Security Guard
-Copy and paste the Internet: Student
-Talk in other people’s sleep: College Professor
And then a call for interns from a New York-based company:
DESCRIPTION: Ok, so maybe you don’t have any experience. Do you think you have potential? Do you learn easily? Do you need college credit? If so we are always looking for interns. Hey… it’s not just a job. It’s an adventure. Oh yeah, we’re a paperless office so we can guarantee you won’t ever have to file anything.
MANDATORY SKILLS: The ability to stay awake for long periods of time.
Funny job titles and listings (from the very entertaining Craigslist) here. Enjoy.

Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes.
My blog’s word cloud:

My tumblr’s word cloud:

I’m a big fan of typography and color (and the art of fence installation huhlolz) so it’s not surprising that I am enjoying creating word cloud after word cloud a little too much. I especially love how the words beautifully relate to each other, despite the jumble and the random placement.
