New From Punchdrunk Panda + Free Passes To The Global Pinoy Bazaar

November 8, 2012    contests and promotions2 Comments

Christmas is just a mere 46 days away and I have yet to start on my Christmas shopping. Every year, I tell myself I won’t be lazy and get the special people in my life actual gifts, instead of, you know… gift certificates. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but it’s just no fun!

This year, I plan to give the gift of The Little People. I would like to avoid big name brands as much as possible and source my gifts from small businesses (or, if I’m not lazy, make my own gifts!). I don’t need to name names but I think we can all agree that those big fancy brands are rich enough and can do without our money this holiday season! I sure hope you’re with me on this one.

With this, allow me to suggest a brand I am very fond of— Punchdrunk Panda! I wrote about them early this year when they released their last ladies’ skimmers collection. Recently, they launched a new collection of skimmers for both genders and camera straps (both for point and shoots and dSLRs).

Who To Nominate For The Multiply Origination Awards

November 7, 2012    contests and promotions1 Comment

Hi, Joyce!

The nomination period for The Multiply Origination Awards ends in eleven days. Multiply is an online shopping mecca but LBR, finding something original can be hard! Most merchants/sellers offer clothes and accessories from Bangkok or China or re-sell makeup that isn’t available in local stores. If you’re like Joyce who is having a hard time finding a merchant to nominate… well, let me help you!

Crochet Collars

October 29, 2012    diy15 Comments

I’m a little hooked.

crochet collars

I don’t even know why I’m making these, since collars aren’t particularly flattering on me (sucks to have a short neck and broad shoulders) but I figure they’d make nice gifts to friends. I just need to perfect it!

Creations by Lourd Ramos

I am always on the lookout for new salons to try. While I have a short list of go-to places, I’m not particularly picky when it comes to who cuts/touches my hair. All I need are reasonable rates (PHP300-700 for a haircut), an accessible location (can take public transportation to get there), and good reviews online.

Diet Diva Week One

October 20, 2012    food, health & fitness4 Comments

These are photos of Diet Diva meals, so they don’t include all the food I actually ate the past five days. When I got hungry in between meals, I snacked on bananas, raw carrots, and hard-boiled eggs. I didn’t eat the oatmeal cookies included in Day 3, as crackers/biscuits aren’t filling for me and I tried my best to avoid refined sugar this week because it will cause a spike in, umm, blood sugar (???), triggering my sweet tooth and cravings for more food. Dude, IDK I forgot the ~science~ behind it; it’s just something I picked up when I tried Slow-Carb. I am eating them now, though, because Saturday and because chocolate chips. Anyway, I also take my coffee with milk so I’m estimating that I was hitting 1400-1500 calories a day.

Diet Diva Day 2

I'm a 20-something lady (and I use that term loosely) from Quezon City, Philippines. Little Miss Freakie is my beautiful and feisty tortie. I'm currently on a break from the daily grind and working from home; this means I usually have a lot of free time but nothing to blog about. When I'm not in front of my laptop, you can find me any place they serve beer. Glad to see you here!
